More rain fell in 2024 than any one of the previous 10 years. The temperature measurements are not accurate enough to compare subtle differences, but rainfall (or precipitation) differences are what one might expect from global warming projections.

Generally quite a mild month with about average total rainfall which was mostly concentrated over the first 5 days of the month

Highest rainfall and temperatures for 10 years

Third month in a row with mild, but windy and wet weather

Wet weather theme continues .

Both April and May wetter than in the last 10 years. Temperatures in both months slightly warmer than in previous years, although it didn’t seem like it, for grey skies dominated.
By the end of May there were muddy paths and more water than between Upper and Lower fields than seen previously.

September was a very wet month. Rainfall total of 179 mm mainly in the last 9 days – not the quite the highest in the last 11 years for in October 2020 it was 199 mm.

October had fairly average temperatures and rainfall.

Rainfall about average for November, except that almost all of the rain was in the second half of the month.
Temperatures near November average and sunshine in short supply.
December

December can roughly be divided in two halves – the first being windy and wet, including storm Darrach and the second half fairly dry.
