The Sandridge Road Wastes are the grassed areas on both sides of this road designated as Common Land. Parking is a major problem on the road, especially between Boundary Road and Bernards Heath Infants School, the area marked in blue in the map below.
The grassed area marked in blue above has been used for parking and in winter the area has become a muddy mess. To address this problem, a plastic honeycomb style matting has been installed over the grassy area as shown on the left below. You can just see grass seeds.
